I feel separated from people a lot. It’s just a product of the way we live in our culture. We leave our home and family to move far away. We work, or our spouse/significant other works. Our best friends move far away too. Even though we have so many people we love and who love us, it’s still incredibly easy to feel lonely. That’s what this poem is about.

It’s called “A Breath as Large as as Mile.”
