The following are illustrations from my Faces of Friendship series. My aim was to illustrate the kinds of friends we have all had at some point, like the Admired and the Listener. I even included friends that we try to avoid, like the Frenemy and the Backstabber.

The Lost
Something within me has been missing since you’ve been gone. I feel it when I pass the bench where we used to sit and talk. I feel it when I stumble across that book we read together. But I also feel, somehow, that you are still near me, and I want you to know that I will never forget you.
The Dog
You get me. You always have. You’re there for me and you always listen. That’s not something I can say about most people.

The Dog-lover
It's true. Dogs understand us and they always will. There's something you can't say about most people, but that'll always be true about dogs: A dog is a friend that you can rely on forever to love you without reservation.
